In a forgotten corner of the world, hidden between mountain peaks and dense forests, there was a city called Macedonski. Here, among the ancient ruins and the spirits of the ancestors, it was said that there existed a mysterious portal that connected the past, present, and future.
The inhabitants of this city all knew they should not venture into that hidden dimension, for, as the legend said, “they will not want you” if you do not respect the history of those who fought to maintain their connection to their origins. This portal concealed deep secrets about those who had fallen on the battlefields, fighting for their ancestors and for their cultural identity.
However, a young man named Alex was fascinated by the mystery of the portal. He felt an irresistible calling, a power of thought that pushed him toward that door to other dimensions. What had become of the generations that had come before him? And what if the portal offered them the chance to communicate with people from the past?
On a clear night, the lights in the city went out, and Alex was enveloped by a strange silence. He looked at the portal and felt that the absence of sound was part of the curse of his ancestors. In that stillness, he wondered if the world of the concrete, the reality around him, was truly all that life had to offer. He longed to savor a spring full of flowers, but he knew that “one flower does not make a spring.”
Thus, he looked beyond the window of time and realized that everything was a complex puzzle, made up of decisions, memories, and aspirations. What seemed like a blessing could, in fact, be a burden. If he were to pass through the portal, could he change the course of history? But otherwise, it would be against nature, a blasphemy, he thought.
In the end, Alex decided not to cross the portal. The world of the concrete, with its joys and sufferings, had a value he could not ignore. There were lessons to be learned from every mistake, from every loss.
